WBZ WaterCooler: 'The Mentalist' Tries The Boston Accent
BOSTON (CBS) - At the WBZ Water Cooler, Boston accents are the topic this week.
We won't call out the people that we think butchered the accent on the big screen, but they know who they are.
Simon Baker, a.k.a. The Mentalist, is one of those guys who sounds nothing like the Patrick Jane character he plays.
He's Australian, believe it or not, and he talked with us about Boston.
He says it's a "beautiful city" and if the opportunity presents itself, he'd "love to" film a movie here.
Baker even sees some similarities between the Boston Accent and his Australian one.
