Ambulance Stolen From Boston Medical Center

BOSTON (CBS) – Boston police are looking for someone who stole an ambulance from outside Boston Medical Center on Saturday morning.

EMTs were transporting a patient into the hospital around 5:20 a.m. when someone hopped in the vehicle and took off.

Officers managed to track down the abandoned ambulance at a Whole Foods docking area a short time after it was stolen.

The ambulance was being processed for evidence.

A clear photo of the thief was captured on Boston Medical Center's security cameras, according to the police report. Boston police have not released that photo.

No arrests have been made.

The theft happened less than two hours after a Boston police car was stolen and crashed a few miles away in South Boston. A suspect in the police car chase was arrested.
