WBZ-TV Wins Emmy Award For Outstanding Regional Spot News
BOSTON (CBS) – WBZ-TV won a National Emmy Award on Tuesday night.
The station won the award for Outstanding Regional Spot News for their coverage of the Newtown tragedy in Connecticut last December.
WBZ-TV beat out WMAQ-TV in Chicago for their coverage of the NATO protest and WNBC-TV in New York for their coverage of the shooting near the Empire State Building.
The National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences presented the award in a ceremony at the Lincoln Center in New York City.
