Farrell Not Ready To Disclose Red Sox Rotation For ALDS

BOSTON (AP) — The Boston Red Sox aren't ready to announce their rotation for the AL division series starting Friday.

Manager John Farrell says he'll wait until after Wednesday's simulated game before he discloses the rotation and roster for the best-of-five series. The Red Sox will face the winner of Wednesday night's wild-card game between the Tampa Bay Rays and Cleveland Indians.

Left-hander Jon Lester seems most likely to start the opener. He had a strong finish to the season with a 3-0 record and 2.57 ERA in five September starts. Before the All-Star break, Lester was 8-6 with a 4.58 ERA.

Right-handers John Lackey, Clay Buchholz and Jake Peavy also are expected to start in the series.

The Red Sox held a workout on Tuesday after having Monday off.
