On Pins And Needles: Rondo Tweets Out Picture Of Knee

BOSTON (CBS) - Boston Celtics fans are on pins and needles waiting for Rajon Rondo to return from the ACL injury that ended his 2012-13 season, and we got a clearer view of the point guard's rehab on Friday.

Rondo Tweeted out a picture showing his leg filled with acupuncture needles, which he says helps "reduce spasm and pain" in the leg.

Seeing how he played more than a quarter after suffering the injury, it should come as no surprise he doesn't mind a few pins and needles sticking out of his leg. And while the picture probably doesn't make fans feel great about the recovery, the good news is Rondo is in the gym with his teammates -- when he isn't doing his best impression of a pin cushion.

Celtics GM Danny Ainge said he doesn't expect his point guard back until December, but he is expecting Rondo to be with the team next week when Training Camp gets underway in Rhode Island.
