It’s an Agenda Free Friday on Felger and Massarotti! The guys discussed the New England Patriots game against the Atlanta Falcons on Sunday night. Rob Gronkowski practiced all week, but may still not be active for Sunday night’s game. When will Gronk be back on the field? Also, last night was New York Yankees closer Mariano Rivera’s last game at Yankee Stadium. Was the Rivera farewell tour over the top? Boston Celtics president Rich Gotham joined Felger and Massarotti to discuss the new multi-year contract between the C’s and 98.5 The Sports Hub. 98.5 The Sports Hub is the new radio home of the Boston Celtics. Jerry Thornton of Barstool Sports joined the guys to preview Sunday night’s Patriots-Falcons game.
In Hour 2, Felger and Mazz continued the discuss Mariano Rivera’s retirement and the New York Yankees. Does Major League Baseball need the Yankees to be competitive? Patriots radio play-by-play announcer Bob Socci joined the guys to talk some Pats-Falcons. Bob also had to answer 5 Questions from Felger. Finally, the guys talked about the return of former Boston Bruins goaltender Tim Thomas signing a 1-year deal with the Florida Panthers.
During Hour 3 of Felger and Massarotti, the guys discussed last night’s Thursday Night Football between the St. Louis Rams and the San Francisco 49ers. The 49ers routed the Rams 35-11 last night. Is Rams quarterback Sam Bradford a bust? Marc “The Beetle” Bertrand makes a case on why Bradford should be the next Patriots quarterback. Mike and Tony went on to pick through the Fair Catch Kick rule.
