An Associated Press reporter in the building says fire alarms went off shortly after 9:30 a.m. Thursday and an automated message told everyone to leave.

It was not clear why the building was evacuated.

People were allowed back in at about 10 a.m.

A call to a Boston Fire Department spokesman was not immediately returned.
