BOSTON (CBS) – A commercial power outage on the Metro-North Railroad between New York and New Haven, Connecticut is causing major delays for Amtrak.

Acela Express service between New York and Boston will be canceled on Thursday Sept. 26. Service was also suspended on Wednesday.

Amtrak Northeast Regional service will operate under diesel power through the affected area. Additional trains have been added to accommodate the Acela Express passengers.
