WBZ NewsRadio, WZLX Win Marconi Awards
BOSTON (CBS) – Two CBS stations from Boston have been recognized by the National Association of Broadcasters.
WBZ NewsRadio has won the 2013 NAB Marconi Award for News Talk Station of the Year.
WZLX won Rock Station of the Year.
The awards were presented in Orlando Thursday night.
WBZ NewsRadio beat out WPRO-AM in Providence, RI and stations from St. Paul, Charlotte and Atlanta.
This is the fifth Marconi Award WBZ has won since 1995.
- 1995 – Major Market Station of the Year.
- 1998 – Major Market Station of the Year.
- 1999 – News/Talk/Sports Station of the Year.
- 2010 – Legendary Station of the Year.
- 2013 – News Talk Station of the Year.
WZLX beat out rock stations from St. Louis, Long Island, Chicago and Belmar, NJ.
