MANCHESTER, NH (CBS) – It happened in just seconds.
A man walked in to a Manchester, New Hampshire store with a gun in his left hand Wednesday night and demanded money.
He was dressed in black from head to toe, but the store’s owner says he looked familiar when the suspect briefly lowered his mask.
“I think he used to come in my store,” said Uddhav Thapa, the owner of U.S. Market. “I saw the gun and I was really scared.”
Thapa says the man got away with $188 in cash.
When the suspect ran off, Thapa says a customer who was just arriving realized what had happened and started to follow, even writing down a license plate number from the getaway car.
This is the second robbery at the store in a month. In the prior incident, the suspect got away with about $700.
Thapa believes two different men are responsible but that they may be working together. They both look like former shoppers.
Manchester Police say they are looking for tips in both cases.
