DANVERS (CBS) – Danvers police are looking for a man who pretended to be a police officer and then groped a woman.
Chief Neil Ouellette said a man driving a black Dodge Charger with blue grill lights stopped a driver on State Road, near the intersection of Route 128 and Elliott Street, around 6:15 p.m. Tuesday.
The driver said the man was wearing a dark colored uniform with a badge and identified himself as a police officer.

She said the man demanded she get out of her car and put her hands on the hood of the vehicle. After she did, he groped her, police said.
The man then went back to his car and drove off.
The woman went to the police department and reported the incident.
“She described him as 5-foot-9 to 5-foot-10, medium build, somewhat muscular and had dark hair and she described more of a deep Boston accent,” Ouellette told reporters Thursday, adding that the man was white and in his 20’s.
The chief said they have already received tips about the incident.
