HOPKINTON (CBS) – A 13-year-old boy died after he was hit by a car while trying to cross the street on his bike in Hopkinton Wednesday.
The crash happened on Route 85 at about 5 p.m. about a mile from the town’s high school and middle school, where the boy was a student.

The driver was also taken to the hospital as a precaution.
A woman who lives near the crash described the damage to the car to WBZ-TV.
