Report: Amendola Has Torn Adductor Muscles, Possible Sports Hernia

BOSTON (CBS) — Danny Amendola may be out for the next three to four weeks.

That’s according to a Fox Sports report that he has torn adductor muscles in his hip and has gotten conflicting reports from doctors as to whether or not he also has a sports hernia, Jay Glazer of Fox Sports is reporting.

Glazer first tweeted the news, Sunday morning.

Amendola was limited prior to the season opener with a groin issue, and it resurfaced late in the first half against the season opener in Buffalo.

However, Amendola didn’t miss much time, and he was Tom Brady’s most reliableicon1 Report: Amendola Has Torn Adductor Muscles, Possible Sports Hernia receiver throughout the second half.

Amendola did not play in Thursday’s game against the Jets.

According to Glazer, Amendola is getting a second opinion Sunday.
