Smoke Condition Strands Duck Boat In Middle Of Charles River

BOSTON (CBS) - Passengers on board a duck boat were forced to abandon ship after an engine issue left the vehicle stranded in the Charles River.

A Boston Duck Tours spokesperson says it appeared that a hose came loose from the radiator, causing a smoke condition. The duck boat was evacuated as a precaution.

Cambridge Fire Department sent a boat could to help rescue the stranded passengers and transport them to a dock on the Cambridge side of the river.

The duck boat was towed from the water.

The tour company says no injuries were reported.
