Clay Buchholz pitched his first game for the Red Sox since early June and allowed just three hits over five innings. Buchholz, who is now 10-0, was sidelined by a strained neck and hadn’t pitched in the majors since beating the Los Angeles Angels on June 8.

Jon Heyman joined Gresh and Zo to talk about the return and performance of Clay Buchholz, Jacoby Ellsbury’s injury and the nation’s view on the Red Sox chances in postseason.

When could we see Ellsbury return to the lineup? Could this injury potential affect his next contract? Doees it depend on how quickly he returns?

Plus is Buchholz the clear number one once the playoffs come around or do we need to see more?
