BOSTON (CBS) – Less than three months after having surgery on his broken right leg, Boston Bruins center Gregory Campbell was on the ice on Thursday.
Campbell, who famously broke his fibula in Game 3 of the Eastern Conference Final while blocking an Evgeni Malkin slap shot but remained on the ice to kill the kill a penalty, skated with teammates at the Bruins’ practice facility in Wilmington on Thursday.

The Bruins’ fourth-line center appeared to be skating well and shooting without any problems at the Captains Practice, as Boston gets set to open training camp next week.
With the Bruins regular season just under a month away, Campbell taking the ice is an encouraging sign the center should be good to go when the season gets underway.
