Actor and comedian Nick Offerman joined Toucher & Rich on Friday morning ahead of his two shows in Boston this Labor Day Weekend.

Offerman is most known for his work on Parks And Recreation as Ron Swanson, the director of the parks and recreation department of Pawnee, Indiana.

The guys started off discussing an interview that Fred heard where Offerman talked about woodworking. Offerman made the activity sound so interesting that Fred thought he’d order a kit online to start woodworking himself, but found that it’s not so simple.

Offerman discussed growing up in a rural community in the Midwest and what his family thought of him wanting to pursue a career in the arts.

They discussed his solo show and how he thought his training as a theater actor wouldn’t lead him to doing this type of show. They also talked about an event that he judged in Texas called Meat Fight 2013.
