The Red Sox had a successful trip out West, taking two of three from both the San Francisco Giants and Los Angeles Dodgers.

The Sox pitching appears to be coming around with Jon Lester performing better, Jake Peavy pitching great since came over at the deadline, and John Lackey continuing to hurl quality starts when he takes the mound.

Hunter Golden of FireBrandAL.com joined 98.5 The Sports Hub’s Toucher & Rich on Monday to discuss the string of good performances by Sox pitchers.

Is this the Lester we can expect when the postseason starts? If the Sox have to play in a one-game playoff game, who gets the start if Clay Buchholz is still out?

And on the offense, Mike Napoli has been better at the plate since hitting a game-tying home run in Toronto a few weeks ago. Is Napoli a guy who, when he’s on he’s really on, and went he off he’s really off?
