Gresh and Zolak discuss the latest news around the AFC East, including major injuries at the quarterback position in New York and Buffalo. The guys debate whether either situation can be salvaged this season.

Mark Sanchez is listed as day-to-day with an injured right shoulder, the New York Jets announced Sunday. Rex Ryan, who is facing heavy criticism for putting Sanchez behind the second-team offensive line with 11 minutes remaining in the fourth quarter of preseason game number three.

So with this injury will Geno Smith end up starting Week 1 of the regular season? Gresh and Zo discuss whether they think Smith is ready to start in the NFL. Does Sanchez give the Jets the best chance to win?

The Bills are also dealing with their own quarterback issues as first-round draft pick EJ Manuel suffered a minor knee injury that will keep him from playing in the final preseason game, and veteran Kevin Kolb suffered concussion-like symptoms in Saturday’s loss to the Redskins.

Will Manuel be ready to go Week 1 or will the Patriots be facing rookie undrafted free agent Jeff Tuel?
