Attack On Woman Near Tufts University Prompts Community Alert

MEDFORD (CBS) – A community alert has been issued in Medford after a woman was attacked near Tufts University.

Police say the woman was walking on Boston Avenue around 4:30 a.m. when a man walked past her and made a rude comment.

A short time later, police say the suspect grabbed the victim from behind and forced her to the ground while attempting to sexually assault her.

The victim managed to fight off the attacker and escape with minor injuries.

The suspect is described as a light-skinned Black or Hispanic male in his mid-twenties, average height and weight, with slanted eyes and a dimple in his chin. He was wearing jeans and a white T-shirt

Police are asking anyone with information to contact them.
