Felger & Mazz: August 21, 2013

Felger and Massarotti were joined by Jermaine Wiggins and the guys opened the day talking about the Boston Red Sox 3-2 loss to the Giants in San Francisco. Did John Farrell mismanage his bullpen last night? Did Farrell pull Jake Peavy too early? Shane Victorino made catch in foul territory last night that allowed the tying-run to score. Did Victorino make the right call in catching the ball instead of letting it drop foul? Sox have lost five of the last seven games. Should there be cause for concern? Finally, we hear the entries to the one-on-one 98 Mile Rap Battle between Jermaine Wiggins and Scott Zolak.

Hour 1

In Hour 2, the guys discuss the New England Patriots and new receiver Danny Amendola. Does Amendola have the ability to help people forget about Wes Welker? After talking about the Patriots defense, the guys got back into last night's Sox game and John Farrell's job managing his pitching staff. Why didn't Farrell put Koji Uehara in the 9th? When Jermaine Wiggins is in-studio, the guys play the latest edition of 10 Questions with Wiggy. Before letting the fans ask Wiggy some questions, Felger and Mazz got back to John Farrell's decision-making.

Paul Perillo of Patriots Football Weekly joined Felger and Massarotti to talk some Pats. Does Amendola have a chance of helping people move on from Wes Welker? What are the expectations of the Patriots defense this season? Can the Patriots improve on the physicality on defense?
