HOLLISTON (CBS) – A landscaper trimming trees was killed after he came in contact with a high-voltage power line in Holliston Tuesday morning.

The fire department says the 26-year-old man from Norfolk was in a bucket lift trailer on Shaw Farm Road when his metal trimming saw touched a 13,000 volt line.

The man was rushed to Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston on a MedFlight rescue helicopter where he later died.

Holliston Landscaper Shocked, Burned

“Upon arrival, he was still up in the bucket truck on fire.  We were unable to get to him because of the wires and the fear of somebody else getting electrocuted,” Deputy Fire Chief Jim Moore told reporters.

He was burned over 95-percent of his body and suffered head and internal injuries as well, police said.

His name has not been released.

He has been working for Ahronian Landscaping and Design in Holliston for the last ten years.
