The Patriots held on and beat the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Friday night at Gillette for their second win of the preseason. Tom Brady completed 11 passes in a row to start the game off and ended his night with 107 yards passing.
Is Brady looking better then he has in the past?
“He looks very good and I think the thing that makes him look better is the fact of who he’s doing it with,” Andy Hart of Patriots Football Weekly told 98.5 The Sports Hub’s Toucher & Rich on Monday.
With two preseasons games in the books you can kind of see the players that will be on this team come final cuts. Is Julian Edelman on the bubble?
“I don’t think so, I think you saw him out there relatively early the other night. I think he’s still going to be leaned on as a punt returner, although he didn’t look good in that roll the other night sort of dancing around and loosing yards. I still think when it all comes down to it you need a little bit of a veteran experience there lower on the depth chart. A guy you can rotate through and just based on the reps it looks like they’re still going to do that.”
They also went on to discuss quarterback Tim Tebow and his struggles. Tebow completed one of seven passes for minus-1 yard and an interception and ran six times for 30 yards. Why is Tebow here and if he makes the team as most believe who gets cut?
The guys also discussed the running backs and who might be on the chopping block.
