WBZ Water Cooler: Little League World Series
BOSTON (CBS) ---- With its first Little League World Series win in its 62-year history Thursday night, Westport, CT will play in the winner's bracket today.
First pitch vs Sammamish, Wash is Sunday at 2 p.m. at Lamade Stadium. The boys are representing New England in Williamsport, PA this summer.
Coach Tim Rogers says his team is a little in awe of where they are, but they are 'pretty low key' and have not been 'caught up' in their surroundings.
He added, 'we have top quality pitching at the top of our rotation,' but that being said, 'we are very aware of the competency of the other teams.'
When this amazing ride ends, Coach Rogers says he'll remember the 'team moments, when games were tight' and how they pulled them out. Also, how the boys 'celebrated with each other.'
