BOSTON (CBS) – A water main break is tying up traffic in the South End.
WBZ NewsRadio 1030’s Karen Twomey reports
The water shot up several feet after the break on Tremont Street.
Tremont Street was closed at Massachusetts Avenue after the main broke around 3:30 a.m. and flooded the block.
Check: Traffic Update
The water was shut off and most of it was drained before sunrise, but there is now a sinkhole on Tremont.
The outbound side of the street remains closed.
Inbound is open to traffic, but it is expected to be slow because of the road repairs.
