Obama Briefed By Rice, Golfs On 2nd Day Of Vineyard Vacation

EDGARTOWN, Mass. (AP) — President Barack Obama is playing golf despite rain that is dampening the second day of his Martha's Vineyard vacation.

Before leaving his rented home in the town of Chilmark on Monday, the White House says he was briefed by national security adviser Susan Rice, who accompanied the president on vacation.

The White House released a photograph of the two sitting across from each other at a table and dressed in what appeared to be gym clothes.

Obama is playing at the Vineyard Golf Club in Edgartown with Washington power broker Vernon Jordan, former U.S. Trade Representative Ron Kirk and Allison Davis, an Obama friend from Chicago.
