WINCHESTER (CBS) – Two members of the Sheckman family of North Andover now share the same birthday 101 years apart.
Little Chandler was delivered by C-section, the due date close enough to allow his father and mother to schedule the event to produce a double birthday with his great grandfather Nathan more than a century apart.
“It’s indescribable,” Nathan says. “Something that doesn’t happen too often and I’m really very excited by it.”
All of this makes a special day for Chandler’s mom and dad even more meaningful. It’s enough to boggle a new father’s mind.
“I was just thinking,” says Chandler’s father Bryan, “what has he seen in 101 years and what is my son gonna see in 101 years.”
“Very joyful, just very happy to see everyone here, makes me feel very special,” said Chandler’s mom.
Little Chandler, who was born at Winchester Hospital, will be going home with his family in just a couple of days. As the years go on, he’ll have quite a story to tell about the day he was born. And if history’s any indication, he’ll live a very long life.
