Felger & Mazz: August 1, 2013
Felger and Massarotti are broadcasting from the Ace Ticket Studio and talking some Boston Red Sox and last night’s extra-inning 5-4 win over the Seattle Mariners. The Sox earned their 10th walk-off win of the season last night. How much of the Sox success has been based on luck? Red Sox owner John Henry has expressed interest in buying the Boston Globe. Would Sox fans care if Henry bought the Globe? Finally, the guys discussed the Jake Peavy trade. Was it the right deal to make?
In Hour 2, Felger and Mazz continued to discuss the Red Sox and last night’s walk-off win. Mike and Tony went on to talk about the latest in the Biogenesis scandal. Alex Rodriguez and Major League Baseball are trying to work out a deal so that A-Rod avoids a lifetime ban. Why is MLB only threatening A-Rod with a lifetime ban? Is MLB trying to help the New York Yankees to get out of A-Rod’s contract?
During Hour 3 of Felger and Massarotti, the guys switched gears from the Red Sox to talk some New England Patriots. Does Tim Tebow actually have a future with the Pats? Back to baseball, how can MLB speed up their games? Will the Peavy-Iglesias trade eventually bite the Sox in the ass?
In the fourth and final hour, Felger and Mazz took calls on everything covered today. Is luck on the Red Sox side? Was trading for Peavy the right move? Can Tebow contribute to the Pats? Finally, it’s the Final Word with Joe Murray.
