Framingham Shooting Victim Dies, Charges Upgraded

FRAMINGHAM, Mass. (AP) — Authorities have upgraded charges against two people following the death of one victim of a Framingham double shooting.

The Middlesex District Attorney's Office says 20-year-old Shawn White of Framingham died Sunday after the shooting early Saturday.

Christian Castro-Lainez of Worcester, who is 18, faces charges including murder and misleading investigators.

His 17-year-old girlfriend faces charges including being an accessory after a murder. The Associated Press generally doesn't identify juveniles charged with crimes.

Authorities say White and a 21-year-old Framingham man whom they didn't identify went to see the 17-year-old and the three men fought.

Authorities say White was shot in the head and the 21-year-old was shot in the chest as they tried to leave in a car.

Both pleaded not guilty at Monday arraignments.
