BOSTON (CBS) – Patriots cornerback Alfonzo Dennard was in court in Lincoln, Nebraska on Wednesday, and is clear to attend Training Camp in New England later this week.
Dennard was in court a week earlier than scheduled, addressing a possible violation in his probation. The 23-year-old was on probation from his 2012 arrest for assaulting a Lincoln police officer when arrested on July 11 on suspicion of drunken driving stemming.
The Lincoln Journal Star is reporting that District Court Judge Robert Otte told Dennard the conditions of his probation remain, and he will be allowed to leave the state to attend Training Camp with the Patriots.
Dennard is due back in court on August 27. He and his attorney, Terry Dougherty, declined comment when leaving the courthouse on Wednesday.
