MBTA Police Arrest Red Line Robbery Suspect
QUINCY (CBS) - MBTA police have arrested a man who they say was walking his pit bull when he robbed a person on the Red Line.
Christopher Broxton 36, was arrested Friday at his home in Quincy.
Police say on Wednesday, he walked up to someone at JFK Station, grabbed money from that victim, and took off running.
Officers say tips from the public helped them identify Broxton as a suspect.
Following the arrest, Transit Police praised the help of the public.
"The great cooperation and partnership we enjoy with the public can not be overstated," Superintendent-in-Chief Joseph O'Connor stated.
