Felger & Mazz: July 19th, 2013
It’s an Agenda Free, and Felger Free Friday today on the Sports Hub. Mazz and Bertrand lead off the first hour from the Ace Ticket Studio in Kenmore Square talking about the Red Sox, as they return from the All Star Break to take on the New York Yankees at Fenway Park. After a successful first half of the season, what should we expect from the team in the second half? They are also joined in studio by Kevin Kernan of the New York Post to preview this weekend’s series.
Mazz & Bertrand start hour 2 of their Felger Free Friday talking about Alex Rodriguez as the Yankees prepare for his return to the lineup next week. Is there a more disliked player around Major League Baseball than A-Rod, and is his presence good for the game? The guys also talk about the latest Red Sox trade rumors, Andrew Bailey returning to the DL, and open up the phone lines.
It’s the 3rd hour of an Agenda Free Friday on Mazz & Bertrand. The Red Sox have a 6 game lead over the Yankees to start the second half of the season, and the guys discuss the Sox realistic chance to bury the Yankees playoff hopes for the season this weekend. They also switch things up to discuss reports that the Patriots will not release Alfonzo Dennard, more developments on the Andrew Bailey injury, and they go back to the phones.
Fourth and final hour of this Agenda and Felger Free Friday with Mazz & Bertrand, who continue their discussion about the latest set back in the Red Sox bullpen. There’s also more discussion about the character issues on the Patriots and in the NFL, plus more calls. Finally, they wrap up the week with The Final Word with Adam Kaufman featuring another edition of Angry Mike and Squeaky Mazz.
