Wednesday's Child: 15-Year-Old Isaigh

BOSTON (CBS) -- Isaigh is a friendly, engaging and creative 15-year-old boy of Caucasian, African American and Hispanic descent.

He is eager to please and is making good progress in his current foster home. Isaigh interacts appropriately with adults as well as peers. He is sensitive and is eager to find a "nice" family where he can finally belong.

In school, Isaigh is well-liked by his teachers and has good conduct. He is in middle school and though he is about a year behind academically, he is making progress with the help of an Individual Educational Plan. Isaigh likes school and strives to do well. In his free time, Isaigh enjoys listening to music, computers and arts and crafts. He also likes to cook and prepare the grocery shopping list. During warmer weather, Isaigh is having fun outdoors riding his bicycle or playing soccer, basketball or another favorite sport.

Isaigh's social worker is seeking a single dad or a two-parent family with an involved father. Isaigh will need to continue with therapy to address the emotional issues related to his history. Legally free for adoption, Isaigh would do best in an adoptive home as the only child or with older siblings not close in age to him.

To learn more about Isaigh, and about adoption from foster care, call the Massachusetts Adoption Resource Exchange (MARE) at 617-54-ADOPT (617-542-3678) or visit www.MAREinc.org.

The sooner you call, the sooner a waiting child will have "a permanent place to call HOME."
