BOSTON (CBS) – Nicco Mele was put on the map when he took the position of Webmaster for Governor Howard Dean’s presidential campaign in 2004. Mele ended up running what was probably the most successful online grassroots fundraising campaign American politics had ever seen up to that point, and his efforts redefined the way candidates approach social media and online infrastructure. His first book, “The End of Big: How The Internet Makes David The New Goliath,” talks about why he believes the internet and other modern technology has taken the power away from big corporations and government and given it to the little guy.
