MANCHESTER, N.H. (CBS) — Two workers at Elliot Hospital were injured Monday, after an attack inside the hospital.
The hospital said the two staff members were assaulted by a patient in the psychiatric evaluation area of the emergency department.
“We are deeply saddened by this event and our collective thoughts and prayers are with our colleagues and their families as they recover from today’s tragic events,” the hospital said in a statement.
Police said one of those workers sustained serious injuries to the head and face.
Ansel Kinglocke, 33, of Manchester was arrested and charged with first degree assault and simple assault.
The nature of the attacks is not known but police say it did not involve a gun.
