Missing NH Woman's Husband Charged In Vt. Chase

BRATTLEBORO, Vt. (AP) — The estranged husband of a missing New Hampshire woman has pleaded not guilty to motor vehicle charges in connection with an incident in which authorities say he led police on a chase.

Steven Brown, a deputy state's attorney for Windham County, says James Robarge of Rockingham, Vt., is charged with felony eluding and misdemeanor negligent operation in Tuesday's incident in Bellows Falls.

Brown also confirms something that New Hampshire officials haven't — that Robarge is a suspect in a missing persons case in New Hampshire.

Forty-two-year-old Kelly Robarge, of Charlestown, N.H., James Robarge's estranged wife, has not been seen since last Thursday.

New Hampshire authorities have said only they fear she has suffered serious injury or death.

There's no immediate comment from New Hampshire Assistant Attorney General Susan Morrell.
