Homeowner Accused Of Setting Uxbridge House On Fire

UXBRIDGE (CBS) - An Uxbridge man is facing arson charges after fire tore through the house where he lives on Albee Road Wednesday afternoon.

Flames were shooting through the windows when firefighters arrived at the home. They were eventually able to knock down the fire.

The homeowner, Christian Carven, 43, was arrested at the scene and charged with arson. Officials did not offer any details about how they were able to determine the fire was intentionally set.

Police said Carven lived in the home with his wife and two children. His wife and children were not home when the fire broke out.

One injury was reported. A firefighter had to be treated at the hospital for a heat-related condition.

State Troopers from the State Fire Marshal's office along with Uxbridge police are investigating.
