Expecting Mom Loses Unborn Baby After Crash In Stratford, NH

STRATFORD, NH (CBS) – New Hampshire State Police are investigating a crash that resulted in an expecting mother losing her unborn baby.

On Tuesday around 7:30 p.m., police say Ashley Rideout, 22, of Lancaster was driving northbound on Route 3 when her SUV collided with a pick-up truck that was crossing the intersection at Maidstone Bridge Road.

Police say it appears the driver of that truck, Keith Brewer, 17, of North Stratford failed to yield the right of way to Rideout.

Rideout was taken to Littleton Regional Hospital with a serious knee injury. State Police also say her pregnancy was terminated as a result of the crash.

Rideout's 2-year-old son, along with Brewer and one of his passengers were all treated for minor injuries.

Police have ruled out any alcohol involvement. There was no indication that any charges have been filed.
