Police: Cape Cod Limo Driver Swiped Luggage Containing $100,000 Of Jewelry
Hyannis (CBS) – A 60-year-old limousine driver is facing charges after police say he stole a bag that contained more than $100,000-worth of jewelry from a family he had driven.
Police Bruce Brown was one of two livery drivers hired to take the family from their private jet at Hyannis Airport to their home in Osterville on Sunday.
A couple hours after the drivers dropped off the family and unloaded their luggage, the family realized that they were missing several pieces of luggage.
Police say Brown eventually confessed to stealing the luggage and jewelry and led police to a dumpster on Hinckley Road in Hyannis, where the items were recovered.
Brown is charged with larceny of property over $250.
