BOSTON (CBS) — The Russell Elementary School in Dorchester already won a national competition for bringing health education to life with its students but that award got even sweeter on Monday.

The $30,000 grant was awarded by the Find Your Balance Challenge through the Healthy Weight Commitment Foundation and Discovery Education.

Kraft told students he would be doubling the $30,000 grant.

“We like to try to compete for championships every year and win a Super Bowl,” Kraft said. “You won an award that everyone competed for around the country and you’re number one, that’s what the Patriots are going to try to do this year.”

Students were awarded the grant after they created a community garden.
