WBZ Wins 9 Emmy Awards

BOSTON (CBS) -- WBZ reporters were awarded 9 Emmy awards, including WBZ coverage of the Boston Marathon and the Newtown shooting.

News Director John Verrilli accepted the award on behalf of the station.

The station won in the sports category for coverage of the 2012 Boston Marathon.

WBZ's Jon Keller won for political commentary, videographer Dominick Aielli won for his work and Kate Merrill took home an Emmy for general assignment reporting.
