More Than 1,500 Cyclists Take On Best Buddies Challenge

BOSTON (CBS) - More than 1,500 bicyclists participated in the 14th annual Best Buddies Challenge on Saturday.

Best Buddies International is a nonprofit dedicated to creating opportunities for friendship, employment and leadership training for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The Best Buddies Challenge, a 100-mile bike trek from the John F. Kennedy Presidential Library and Museum in Boston to Hyannis Port on Cape Cod, is the group's biggest fund-raiser of the year.

Patriots quarterback Tom Brady kicked off the weekend's Best Buddies events Friday night at Harvard Stadium, tossing passes to several of his new Best Buddies friends.

This year, for the first time, Congressman Joe Kennedy III joined Brady as the event's honorary co-chairman.
