Southie Dunkin Donuts Heist May Be Linked To 4 Other Robberies

BOSTON (CBS) – Boston police are trying to identify a robbery suspect who investigators think may be connected to as many as six robberies in the area.

Police say the suspect was carrying a black handgun in at least some of the robberies.

A photo provided by police shows the suspect holding up a Dunkin Donuts on Boston Street in South Boston Wednesday night.

Police say other Dunkin Donuts were targeted on Washington and Morton streets and on Mass. Ave. Two McDonald's were targeted on Washington Streets as well as one on Mass. Ave.

He is described as being about 5'7″ and 160 lbs. with a round clean shaven face. Witnesses say he spoke with an accent. He's believed to be the same man who robbed a McDonald's restaurant in Egelston Square two days earlier.

Witnesses to that robbery said the suspect spoke fluent Spanish with a Puerto Rican dialect.

Police are asking anyone who recognizes the suspect to give them a call.
