BOSTON (CBS) – As the weather heats up, beaches and pools usually only open on the weekend will open Friday.
The Department of Conservation and Recreation announced they are expanding their weekend lifeguard coverage to include Friday as well.
“DCR is pleased to offer expanded lifeguarding services at your public waterfronts this Friday as the early summer heat rolls in,” said DCR Commissioner Edward Lambert.
DCR beaches and pools will have lifeguards every day starting June 22.

Douglas State Forest (Wallum Lake), Douglas
Nantasket Beach, Hull
Houghton’s Pond, Blue Hills, Milton
Nahant Beach, Nahant
Revere Beach Reservation, Revere
Carson Beach, South Boston
Pleasure Bay Beach, South Boston
Salisbury Beach, Salisbury (Main Beach Only)
Horseneck Beach, Westport
Shannon Beach, Winchester
Regatta Point, Worcester
Lee Wading Pool, Boston
Johnson Spray Deck, Jamaica Plain
Mission Hill, Boston
Stony Brook, Jamaica Plain
Neponset Spray Deck, Dorchester
