BOSTON (CBS) - I guess I should give him credit for starting early this time.
Donald Trump is spending $1 million to explore a possible run for the White House in 2016.
CBS News confirms The Donald is investing the money to examine his “standing” in each state around the country.
What I would do to get a look at that research.
Forgive me if I don’t take this seriously. I, like thousands of other journalists, have reported on Trump’s flirtations with a presidential bid more times than I care to admit.
That includes his work on the fringes of the last campaign when Trump spent more time talking about President Obama’s birth certificate than his own ideas for the country.
That’s why I have a hard time believing he has any real interest in the job which, by the way, is one of the most difficult in the world.
Forget the pay cut. This all comes down to two words: Tax Returns.
Every candidate has to release them. And Donald Trump does not want us looking into his bank account any more than he wants us looking into his hair style.
