Lawrence City Clerk Facing Drunk Driving Charges

LAWRENCE (CBS) -- A city official in Lawrence is facing drunken driving charges after investigators say he caused a crash that sent another car right into a house.

City Clerk William Maloney's license is now suspended.

Police say Wednesday night, he was driving erratically in his Nissan when he slammed into a Honda.

The impact sent the smaller car into a fence, damaging the porch.
