Police Capture Escaped Inmate In Concord
CONCORD (CBS) - After a short search on Tuesday, police captured a prisoner they say escaped from a work release site in Concord.
The Department of Correction says a DOC official showed up to check on Freddy Deya, 25, at a job at the Colonial Inn around 11 a.m. on Tuesday.

During the conversation, Deya allegedly took off running.
He was captured about an hour and a half later in the woods off of Baker Avenue in Concord.
Deya was serving a 5 to 6 year sentence for assault and battery. He was up for parole this coming August, and was expected to be released in August of 2014.
The Middlesex District Attorney's office plans to press charges over his alleged escape. If convicted, Deya would have his sentence extended.
