Wife Of Injured Transit Officer 'Dic' Donohue Enjoys Special Mother's Day

BOSTON (CBS) -- One local mom is having a very special Mother's Day.

The wife of MBTA Transit Officer Richard Donohue, who was injured in the violent manhunt for the Tsaranev brothers took to Facebook Sunday to share her gratitude.

The following was posted on the 'Wounded Boston Police Officer MBTA Dic Donohue' page.

"I have my husband and my son has his daddy back... (and both are sleeping)...so happy Mother's Day to me! Also special mommy-day to all those LEO wives&mommies. Thanks for all you do," Kim Donohue wrote.

Donohue continues to recover from his injuries but is doing well, according to a post by Officer Donohue and his wife earlier this month.
