WBZ Water Cooler: Rihanna Booed In Boston

BOSTON (CBS) -- At the WBZ Water Cooler: It was a tough way to start the week. Rihanna made the Boston Garden faithful wait close to three hours before she made her way to the stage Monday night. The booing started a little after 8:00 PM, the show was scheduled to start at 7:30 PM, and continued even after Rihanna started.

Rhianna Booed In Boston

Vicky Cerqueira was at the show and said about 75% of the crowd booed Rihanna, when the band jumped into the first song a little after 10:00 PM. She and her cousins had to leave early after about six songs because her cousins had the MCAS the next day. They weren't the only ones forced to leave the show, some took off before the first song.

Cerqueira was surprised that Rihanna would do this to Boston already reeling from Marathon Monday. Also, this was already a makeup show that Rihanna had to cancel because of laryngitis in March. Cerqueira says, 'I would never buy Rihanna tickets again.'
