Never Too Early To Talk Deutsche Bank

BOSTON (CBS) – It's never too early to start talking about the Deutsche Bank Championship.

Sure, we're not even into the summer months and we're talking about an event that happens on Labor Day weekend, but it always proves to be a fun weekend out at the TPC Boston in Norton, and Eric Baldwin, the Director of the Deutsche Bank Championship, doesn't think it will be any different this year.

"We had an amazing year last year for our 10th anniversary; Rory McIlroy played phenomenally, and we're looking forward to our 11th year," Baldwin told WBZ NewsRadio 1030's Walt Perkins. "We bring in the top 100 golfers every year so we know the competition will be outstanding. It's been a great golf season so far and it looks like an exciting weekend with The Players Championship."

Tickets have already gone on sale for the event, which offers some great fun for the entire family.

"We recognize that it's the Labor Day holiday and a family weekend. We've had some great family programs over the years and will continue and enhance that," said Baldwin. "We have kid-friendly menus, the kids village which is activity area with a nine hole putt-putt, a moon bounce and a crafts area. Most importantly is that kids 15 and under receive complimentary grounds admission when accompanied by an adult."
